| Carl Fogarty (born 1 July 1966, Blackburn, North West England) is the most successful superbike racer of all time when comparing race wins. Fogarty, known to his fans as 'Foggy', won the World Superbike Championship four times 1994, 1995, 1998, 1999. He is renowned for his high corner speed riding style, combined with a ferocious aggressiveness and will to win, which netted him 59 victories in the World Superbike Championship.
Fogarty was forced to retire from racing in 2000 after a racing incident when he hit a back-marker and crashed, causing a serious shoulder injury.
